God gave Don and Laure Petterson a vision for this mountain in north Georgia where families could come and get refreshed and restored. That vision is going to live on by Evans acquiring the property and your prayers. This is BIG! it requires crazy faith, and we are trusting Jesus to show us the way. The land was and markings to know property lines is crosses on the trees. This extension of Evans is going to give families a fighting chance in being built on the rock -Jesus Christ. Your funding has given families hope to a better future, better than we can even fathom. Dear mountain, do you really know my God?
What is in a name?
Mickey Evans the founder of Dunklin knew the importance of spending time alone with God and he also knew the best place to feel the peace of God and that was in the woods. He would go to Kenansville Fl. Quieting his soul for a few hrs. sometimes weeks journaling and listening for God's voice. It was having that time he was able to sustain the mission of helping family's get free of addiction. We hope that this mountain in North Georgia will be that for many families! A place to seek God, renew strength, refresh their souls, and be filled up with the encouragement of the Holy spirit.
Testimonials
"The Kenansville Camp trip was an example of how God meets us when we want. We also must except and invite him to. God showed me how my attitude with authority affects my ability to lead men. I must edit my joking and make certain activities like the social gram sacred and revered. I appreciate getting to know Rick and all the Wagners better and I am glad to spend quality time with Pastor Greg. Thank you, Lord!" - Andy Reynolds.
"This place is so peaceful, and experiencing it is a memory that will stay with me forever. I came this week needing answers, healing, and a touch. Family…that’s the touch I got. The most special moment for me was standing together on the mountain, hands raised, proclaiming the name of Jesus for the whole valley. The whole world! I’m not alone. I needed to feel that and even in the cave with the lights out, I was there with my family and brothers." - Mark Williamson
"What did I get out of Kenansville? Wow, where do I start? It’s a beautiful place run by beautiful people. The presence of God is everywhere. The body needs to stick together. Everybody needs to have everybody's back. We’re stronger as a body. I got some much-needed healing. I feel so much better. I guess you could say I feel lighter just being unburdened from all of the garbage, guilt, sin, and unforgiving I had harbored in my heart. That stuff weighs you down. Brother John, brother Rick, and brother Uli - thank you so much! Just a very spiritual place and I really enjoyed it. I am for sure leaving here at cleaner person with a better understanding of how important it is to clean your heart and to come clean about things you might be embarrassed or ashamed about. Thank you Wagners for having me. I feel like what I experienced here and what I’ve done here has definitely brought me closer to God. He has made me be more real with myself! The more you put in the more you get out." - Billy Eliano
