"I hit rock bottom when I found myself sitting in jail. I decided to get help when I saw how my addiction was hurting my family especially my daughter.  I knew that if I was going to beat my addiction I wasn't going to be able to do it without  God's help. My relationship with God is growing stronger everyday. I am working hard to be the best dad I can be for my daughter. " My life verse is Luke 12:31 Seek the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you

One of loss and discouragement,
to one of  HOPE and BREAKTHROUGH.

An incredible journey from wandering in the wilderness
to finally being SET FREE by the blood of Jesus.

"I knew I hit rock bottom when I overdosed for the second time. I had lost my daughter I had burned every bridge job, home, and family. I want to get sober so I can take care of my daughter her mother is still in addiction. I know I cant do this without the Lords help. the promise I'm holding on to is Malachi 4:6 he will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents."

Hello,

My name is Jack Lindsey, and this is my beautiful wife Ivy. We have been married for 3 years and are currently expecting our first child, Slaton, who is due to make her arrival on May 1. I came to EMC January 11, 2021, and when I got here I was hopeless in a 10 year addiction that I saw no way out of. I had made a mess of my life to say the least. My lowest point came in December of 2020 when I found myself in jail so addicted to alcohol and pills that there was a chance I could die from withdrawals if I went without them. My wife had tried all she could to help me, but I didn't want to change, so nothing changed in me. She suggested I come to Evans for treatment and to develop a relationship with God. I'm so thankful I did because He saved my life. Since being at Evans, I've been delivered from not only addiction, but fear and anxiety as well. I went from being afraid to talk to people and develop relationships to playing worship music for people every chance I get.

After completing my 10-month commitment to the program, the Lord laid it on our hearts to commit to one year of Family Development where Ivy moved out to the Camp, and we can focus on building on a Christ centered marriage. I serve in a leadership roll and am able to give back what was freely given to me. Through family development I have continued to learn to take responsibility for my actions and learn how to be the Godly leader of my household, which has allowed me to develop into the husband and father God has called me to be and my family deserves.

Through teaching family recovery classes, leading the men here, and my family by my side I have hope today for a bright future. I am able to share how much God has changed my life every day while working at our thrift store, Restored Treasures. We would like to extend an invitation to contribute to our story through prayer and financial assistance. Our monthly expenses total an estimated 800.00 per month, and any financial support would contribute to our car payment and insurance, toiletries, diapers and newborn expenses. Any financial assistance would be a blessing to us, but most importantly we ask for your continued prayer as we navigate this new season as becoming first time parents.

If you feel lead to donate, please click the donate tab and specify "The Lindsey Family". All donations are tax deductible.

In Christ,
Jack, Ivy, and Slaton Lindsey

Dearest friends & family,
We pray that this letter finds you well, my name is Frankie, this is my beautiful wife Amber-Rae and my Sweet daughter Addison-Rae, age 3. I struggled with a 15-year drug addiction I have been to Evans two previous times but could not fully commit, this time I made the choice to go myself. I was losing everything, my friends, family, and my soon to be wife. I was also facing 10-20 years in prison. I decided once and for all that I had enough, it was time for a change. I decided to give Evans another chance. I am so thankful that Rick allowed me to return. I graduated in February 2022. It changed not only mine, but my family’s life more than we could have ever imagined. My wife, Amber-Rae and I have been together for 8 years now. We decided to get married before my stay at Evans so that we could experience all that Evans has to offer us as a family. My wife got baptized with me at my graduation and has given her heart to the Lord. Amber finds so much comfort in knowing that she can relate to the other wives on campus without judgment. We have decided to do a year of family development which requires the whole family to live on camp with me and learn to properly function as a drug-free family in this beautiful environment. We are trusting in the Lord to support us as we work to give back what was given to us.
We receive marriage counseling and attend an advanced marriage class. We get to share our testimony and help others dealing with hurts and pains from the past, one of the ways we do this is by teaching marriage class from time to time. This has enabled us to become the healthy family God has intended for us to be. Today we are walking in his will and preparing ourselves for all that he has in store for us.
Addison-Rae enjoys playing with the other children that also live here. She is becoming quite the child of God and has a heart for the Holy Spirit. I also have two children from a previous marriage, Mykenzie,12 and Bentley,10 that the Lord has restored my relationship with. They hope to come visit the campus soon. Please join us in prayer that God will work in that.
We are sharing this with you in hopes that you will partner with us in prayer and help support us financially as we seek the Lords will during this next season of or lives. Our monthly expenses are roughly $1,500 a month, anything helps. Our finances include a car payment, car insurance, day care, child support, phones, and other living expenses. If the Lord puts it on your heart to be a support financially, please send your donations online to EvansMemorialcamp.org or make check out to Evans Memorial camp. Please make it known in the memo that it is for the Franks family. Please also make known that if it will be a monthly or a one-time donation as this will help us to plan ahead financially. We would also like to invite you to come visit us here at Evans and witness all that we are sharing with you now. We are grateful for any prayers and consideration in being a part of what God is doing in our family. With Love-The Franks

Hello, my name is Robert Wagner and this is my lovely wife Elyssa. We have been married for two years and together we have 4 beautiful children. Lillyana (7) is our brave heart, Dahlia (7) is our fashionista, Robert (1) is our explorer, and Ryder (8 months) is our precious peace maker.   I came from a 23-year addiction that led me homeless, broke, and desperate for help. I decided to come to Evans Memorial Camp in 2017 and my life RADICALLY changed for the good.

As I began to grow in my walk, I started seeking God’s plan for my life. The Lord told me in my journal that I was going to marry my beautiful wife Elyssa if I surrendered and gave my life to Him. Four years later God healed me of Hepatitis C, I got married, adopted my 2 daughters and my wife gave birth to our 2 sons. Having children was a miracle to me because the doctors told me I wouldn’t be able to have children!! (Luke 6:38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”)
I found my calling in life to be a husband, father, and teacher. Being an inner healing teacher has brought me great pleasure and seeing men radically set free just by ONE word from Jesus has been nothing short of miraculous.  But I was missing something. In the midst of being used so mightily I lost my purpose in just being God’s son. To hear from Him! It’s the very essence of what Evans Memorial Camp teaches through journaling and discipleship.
In the beginning of 2021, I decided to make a life altering choice and relapsed. All over again I was lost, broken, and hopeless just by one wrong choice. After 2 weeks of trying to stay sober on my own I knew I needed help. I decided and felt the Lord’s leading through my journal to do a refresher course through Evans Memorial Camp. 5 months later I completed and then felt led to commit to one year of Family Development as of June 2021.
So far, my wife and I are attending Advanced Marriage classes to build a stronger relationship. We are teaching Family Recovery and leading small group classes to help other couples find freedom with the tools given with Jesus Christ as the foundation.  My goal this year is to first and foremost keep my relationship with God number one. As a new father I am learning to make sure my children get the very best of me and build memories that will last a lifetime. Training them up in the way they should go so they will not depart from God’s word will be my motivation. Having my communities’ support here at Evan’s will encourage me to reach my highest potential.
We are inviting you to become part of our story financially and through prayer as we continue to seek His will during this year of Family Development. Our monthly living expenses are roughly $600 a month. This will cover basic needs such as car insurance, phone bill, gas, diapers, and toiletries. Any donation will be a blessing to our family, we could not do this without your prayers and support. If the Lord puts it on your heart to support financially, please click the donate button above our picture or you can send donations to Evans Memorial Camp Inc. and make it known in the memo (Robert Wagner Family Sponsorship).  All donations are Tax Deductible. We are grateful for your prayers and consideration.
God Bless!
