Family Development

VINSON FAMILY
Hey,
My name is Kyle Vinson, and this is my beautiful wife Jade and our two kids Hunter and Hayley. We would like to share with you what the Lord has done for us. Jade and I were married 14 years when my 10-year battle with opiate addiction and choices led to me turning my back on my family. I found myself divorced and stealing to support my habit which ultimately led to me hitting rock bottom and sitting in a jail cell. I had lost everything and didn’t like the man I had become. The Lord saw fit to out of my out of my mess and made a way to get me to Evans Memorial Camp on October 31st 2020. When I got to Evans I knew something had to change. I tried to get clean several times but it never worked because I never truly surrendered my life to Christ. Upon surrendering, the Lord started to work quickly in my life. In just two weeks of being at Evans, Jade brought the kids out to see me for the first time. In that visit, Jade and the kids said they saw a completely different man. They could see the joy of the Lord on me, which is something they had never seen before. This led to the start of the Lord reconciling our family. During the 10-month program, Jade agreed to start marriage classes to rebuild trust and heal past wounds in our relationship. During this time the Lord not only restored our relationship, but my relationship with the kids. Weekend visits consisted of the kids staying with me in a camper, allowing for some much needed one on one time with them to work on gaining their trust back. After completing the program in September of 2021, Jade and I remarried on December 3, 2021. They moved out here in February of this year to start a year of Family Development. We are focusing on building a Christ centered home. I’ve learned that in order to be the husband and dad I’m called to be, I have to keep my relationship with Lord first. Through this time, we have created lots of new memories. Hayley and I went to the Father/Daughter dance and we sing together at praise and worship on Friday nights, Hunter and I enjoying fishing and playing basketball, and we went on our first family vacation in years in July all of which were done sober for the first time! We are halfway through with our commitment for Family Development and the Lord continues to open doors for us. I serve as a full-time leader here at Evans giving back to the ministry that has truly blessed us. I’m the worship leader and teach the men in the program. Most importantly we are learning to serve like Jesus did. Together, Jade and I teach marriage classes and lead small groups for other families on camp and Hunter and Hayley help with the kid’s ministry. The Lord has also blessed us by opening a door at our home church Jacob’s Well, where we have started our marriage ministry to help other couples overcome hardships in their relationships. Our goal is to help heal, restore and make whole families that are broken. In order for that to be a huge success we need your help! We would like to extend the opportunity to partner with us in prayer and to sow seeds financially into our ministry as we continue to expand and grow. Any partnership would be a much-appreciated blessing. If the Lord puts it on your heart to support financially, please click the donate button above our picture or you can send donations to Evans Memorial Camp Inc. and make it known in the memo (Vinson Family Sponsorship).  All donations are Tax Deductible. We are grateful for your prayers and consideration.

Wagner Family
Hello, my name is Robert Wagner and this is my lovely wife Elyssa. We have been married for two years and together we have 4 beautiful children. Lillyana (8) is our brave heart, Dahlia (8) is our fashionista, Robert (2) is our explorer, and Ryder (1) is our precious peace maker.   I came from a 23-year addiction that led me homeless, broke, and desperate for help. I decided to come to Evans Memorial Camp in 2017 and my life RADICALLY changed for the good. As I began to grow in my walk, I started seeking God’s plan for my life. The Lord told me in my journal that I was going to marry my beautiful wife Elyssa if I surrendered and gave my life to Him. Four years later God healed me of Hepatitis C, I got married, adopted my 2 daughters and my wife gave birth to our 2 sons. Having children was a miracle to me because the doctors told me I wouldn’t be able to have children!! (Luke 6:38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”)  I found my calling in life to be a husband, father, and teacher. Being an inner healing teacher has brought me great pleasure and seeing men radically set free just by ONE word from Jesus has been nothing short of miraculous.  But I was missing something. In the midst of being used so mightily I lost my purpose in just being God’s son. To hear from Him! It’s the very essence of what Evans Memorial Camp teaches through journaling and discipleship.  In the beginning of 2021, I decided to make a life altering choice and relapsed. All over again I was lost, broken, and hopeless just by one wrong choice. After 2 weeks of trying to stay sober on my own I knew I needed help. I decided and felt the Lord’s leading through my journal to do a refresher course through Evans Memorial Camp. 5 months later I completed and then felt led to commit to one year of Family Development as of June 2021. So far, my wife and I are attending Advanced Marriage classes to build a stronger relationship. We are teaching Family Recovery and leading small group classes to help other couples find freedom with the tools given with Jesus Christ as the foundation.  My goal this year is to first and foremost keep my relationship with God number one. As a new father I am learning to make sure my children get the very best of me and build memories that will last a lifetime. Training them up in the way they should go so they will not depart from God’s word will be my motivation. Having my communities’ support here at Evan’s will encourage me to reach my highest potential. We are inviting you to become part of our story financially and through prayer as we continue to seek His will during this year of Family Development. Our monthly living expenses are roughly $600 a month. This will cover basic needs such as car insurance, phone bill, gas, diapers, and toiletries. Any donation will be a blessing to our family, we could not do this without your prayers and support. If the Lord puts it on your heart to support financially, please click the donate button above our picture or you can send donations to Evans Memorial Camp Inc. and make it known in the memo (Robert Wagner Family Sponsorship).  All donations are Tax Deductible. We are grateful for your prayers and consideration. God Bless! For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God Romans 8:14
